“ Really good place for dinner! Great staff that spoke good English. Had a steak and was very satisfied. Ate the same thing on another restaurant closer to the main promenade of La Rochelle, and the difference in location matters! This place is not as central and can't rely solely on their location, so they'll have to make up for that om food – and they do! Avoid the overpriced and bland places along the main promenade and take places like Safran that's a little more off, but serves so much better food! ”
“ 4 people a bottle wine and mains with coffee for 88€ . I'm from a fishing village and these are the best mussels ( in cream ) I and my brother in law have EVER had ...... superb. The Barrata salad was according to my sister in law " Devine " and she described it as "Michelin Star " quality. She loves tomatoes but these and the basil drizzled ball of cheese was sublime..... She actually wiped the plate clean it was that good . The pizza Regina was very tasty and had a lovely thin base .( My wife who's also called Regina doesn't have such a thin base ”

“ A memorable evening....we were given a warm welcome by the very helpful team of staff.My hake wrapped in a thin blanket of chorizo was baked to perfection.The presentation on a delicate bed of vegetables with a light sauce and a mussel was like a work of art.It tasted heavenly.Shame we are heading home as we could return there over and over.Whoever recruits the staff is to be highly commended. ”
